Cruden expected to start Chicago test

A mix and match All Blacks side will be named later today for Sunday’s historic Test against the United States in Chicago.

Rugby Editor Nigel Yalden expects the All Blacks selectors to use the same policy as for Japanese test last year.

Based on that, Nathan Harris, TJ Perenara and Patrick Tuipulotu should get their first test starts while Sonny Bill Williams, Victor Vito and Dan Carter should return to fold, the latter off bench as back up to Aaron Cruden.

Nigel Yalden says the need to get Sam Cane some significant game tile would necessitate Richie McCaw being on the bench if in the 23 at all.

Kieran Read is likely to lead the side this weekend.
